PEFI initiated Vidya Daan Yojna in the year 2015 under the visionary leadership of our National President and Former Central Minister (Government of India), Dr. Sanjay Paswan. Under this scheme PEFI selects a physical education university every year and contributes to the institution in terms of resources for its library.
Objective of Vidya Daan Yojna:
It has been observed that many physical education professionals amass huge academic resources over the time for their personal libraries, same is true for many institutes which are well funded and have such resources in excess such as books, journals, research papers etc. After a time these resources are not in use anymore, such resources are non-productive and should be provided to those who do not have enough academic resources. Hence the main objective behind the scheme is to provide such books, journals etc to the institutes and students with deficiency of academic resources.
Institutes and Universities Covered Under Vidya Daan Yojna Until Now:
2015-16: Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College of Physical Education Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
2016-17: Department of Physical Education, S.D. PG College, Muzaffarnagar U.P.
